Samsung S8500 Wave Bada Widget Review: AccuWeather
Weather and time widgets make up for the most popular ones for every phone. It’s not a statistic, but a guess, and I’m pretty sure you will agree.
The same applies in terms of Samsung S8500 widgets, the weather one and even the time are quite important, and informative.
You can set up multiple home screens on the device, but why have to bother to flick through each one, in search of your required widget? Have everything in one page – unless you have mobilo-claustrophobia.
AccuWeather has designed a neat solution for this dilemma: make one widget for both clock and weather. It’s tidy, leaves room for everything else, and looks nice.
The design resembles a wall clock, a circle with hands pointing to the time, and as the background, the weather pattern: sunny, cloudy, etc.. The minimum and maximum temperatures are in the same place, and thanks to the Wave’s high resolution, they don’t look stuffed in at all.
The only thing missing is the wind speed, but after all, most Wave users aren’t metereologists. Clicking on the widget takes users to the actual app, which has hour-by-hour forecasts, radar and satellite imagery, and more details.
Download it free from the Samsung Apps repository, and leave a comment at our Samsung Wave forum on what you think about it.
